“After first meeting through friends, we unexpectedly ran into each other again in a flower shop where you were doing hair. Then, at the Bains des Pâquis, we invited each other for a glass of champagne while looking out over the lake. You shared your project with me, and we talked about our lives, our joys, our doubts and our values.
I have thick, long, dry hair that’s difficult to manage, or at least, that’s what I thought.
So we decided on a trade: you teach me about my hair, and I write for your project.
A friendship grew out of that encounter. You stayed at my place, I helped put your live salon concept into words, and you shared techniques with me to care for and tame my hair.
